At Regional Health Link, our role is to support patients and families by providing safe, clinically appropriate transport while maintaining dignity, comfort, and continuity of care throughout the journey.

We understand that transfer can be stressful for families and carers.
Travel arrangements for accompanying persons depend on clinical, safety, and logistical considerations. These arrangements are determined in consultation with the referring service and transport team.
Families and carers will be advised of transfer plans where appropriate.
On arrival at the receiving facility, a structured clinical handover occurs to ensure continuity of care.
Responsibility for ongoing care is formally transferred to the receiving healthcare team.
Regional Health Link provides clinically supervised patient transport. We do not provide primary emergency ambulance response services.

Most transport arrangements are made through healthcare services following clinical referral. In some circumstances, we may be able to accept self-referrals from members of the public, depending on clinical suitability and transport requirements.

While every effort is made to accommodate essential personal belongings, space within transport vehicles may be limited. Patients are encouraged to travel with minimal luggage, such as a small bag containing clothing and basic toiletries.
For safety and security reasons, we recommend that valuable items (including jewellery, large sums of money, or important personal documents) are left at home wherever possible. Regional Health Link cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal valuables during transport.
